To the Point
is a textbook designed for adults interested in teaching themselves Western Armenian. This book assumes no prior knowledge of Armenian and is intended for beginning language learners. It starts with the Armenian alphabet where readers will first familiarize themselves with the letters through pronunciation guides.
The first part of the book is composed of 30 lessons that include conversational expressions (in transliteration), historical passages in English, Armenian proverbs and quizzes. The lessons are separated by theme and introduce readers to vocabulary relating to the home, school, clothing, body, meals, church, holidays and much more.
The second part of the book is an intensive study of the Armenian alphabet and elementary grammar where detailed explanations, crossword puzzles and handwriting practice sheets enable the reader to feel confident in their reading and writing skills after finishing the book.
