Holy Bible: Armenian Church Edition is a new, revised version of the Bible that contains the books of the Bible and their sequence as preserved in ancient Armenian manuscripts.

Over the centuries, the Holy Bible has been and continues to be the main source of inspiration, guidance, consolation and sustenance for the Armenian people. Armenians call the Bible Asdvadzashounch--meaning "breathed by God" or "inspired by God"--emphasizing the essential understanding that God is the origin of the revelation and message contained in its pages.

This English version is based on the Armenian canon of the Bible, which comprises a greater breadth of scared writings that are not found in many contemporary Western versions (or if included, they are called "apocrypha"). The Armenian Church has preserved these books for the faithful as spiritually beneficial to read.

The New Revised Standard Version was prepared to replace the Revised Standard Version, taking into account the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and other recently recovered manuscripts of the Bible as well as to reflect advances in scholarship.
