The duduk is a cylindrical wooden flute with a 1,500-year history behind it. It has a warm, soft, slightly nasal timbre, but it is capable of wide-range melodies and drone note sustained for long periods of time.

The Duduk Quintet is a renowned group skilled in this moving traditional Armenian instrument. Their skill brings power and emotion into every song.
