Sacred songs sung by Anna Mayilyan, this CD includes spiritually moving pieces based on the words of Grigor Naregatsi, famed Armenian philosopher and poet.

Naregatsi was a 10th century Armenian poet, musician, scholar, teacher, and philosopher who grew up in the village of Narek. He was a humble clergyman and his prayers have been credited with many miracles.

Anna Mayilyan has studied voice throughout Europe. She is a professor at the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan and artistic director of Music Masters of Armenia, a traditional and sacred music ensemble.

The CD comes with a booklet, in English and Armenian, including lyrics and a full biography of Naregatsi.
