Bayrakdarian, a world-class Armenian-Canadian soprano, lends her stunning voice and superb musical style to some deeply spiritual Armenian music on this recording.

Bayrakdarian was the first prize-winner of the prestigious Placido Domingo Operalia" competition in 2000 and a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee medal. She has sung at the Chicago Lyric Opera the Los Angeles Opera and New York City's Metropolitan Opera.

This CD is her debut recording and when it was released in 2002 it went straight to number one on Canada's classical music charts.
