German Responsibility in the Genocide

German Res. In The Arm. Genoci

By Vahakn N. Dadrian

The Armenian Genocide was committed under the nose of German soldiers in Turkey, an ally very much dependent on German power and prosperity. In this study the author examines the complex conditions between the two nations that resulted in Germany choosing not to use its power to stop the Armenian Genocide.

The author is a leading scholar on the subject of the Armenian Genocide and is the author of the distinguished work, The History of the Armenian Genocide. A former professor at the State University of New York, he is currently the director of the Genocide Studies Project supported by H.F. Guggenheim Foundation.
