This two-disc recording of Armen Tigranian's David-Begin, an opera in three acts, features the chorus and orchestra of the Armenian State Theater of Opera and Ballet. Featured stars include Mihran Yergat, Tigran Levonian, Gohar Gasparian, Rouben Saakian, Gevork Yeghiazarian, Marietta Antonian, Valeri Arutunov, Boris Gregov, Mirich Davidian, Avak Perchian, Haroutun Karadjian, Hrant Shakhmouradian, and Arshavir Garapetian. This performance is conducted by Yuri Davidian.

The composer, Armen Tigranian (1879-1950) is famous for two national operas, the Anoush opera and the timeless and inspiring David-Beg, which was his last work, completed only months before his death.
