This volume is dedicated to Dickran Kouymjian, whose productive career as scholar, teacher, mentor, and public speaker covers nearly 50 years. The articles included in this Festschrift reflect the broad spectrum of his interests in Armenian, Islamic, Classical, and Byzantine history and Art, the Humanities, Literature, Film, Genocide, and Saroyan Studies.

The title reflects his comings and goings for thirty years between the cities where he has made his home, but it also relates to a biography that he started after the death in 1981 of his friend, the famous William Saroyan.

The large number (46) of well-known contributors to this Festschrift clearly indicates the high regard in which he is held by scholars of various disciplines.
