A favorite in Armenian theater, Bahanchvoum E Sbakhos is considered by man to be one of the funniest plays of all time. Translated from Greek, this play is about a politician who gets elected, and is overwhelmed by the duties and favors he needs to fulfill. When he realizes that he cannot lie, he hires a liar (played masterfully by Garb Khanchvankian) to lie to the people for him.

Armenian theater great Garb Khanchvankian was born in 1923 in Akhaltzkha. After moving to Yerevan, he spent his entire life working in the Musical Comedy Theater. His popularity soared as he amazed the community with his work.
