Armenia: Travels and Studies

Armenia Travels & Studies

By H.F.B. Lynch

This two-volume classic is considered by some to be the best English-language book about Armenia up to the late 1800s.

The author traveled to Armenia between 1893 and 1893, and presents a panoramic view of the whole area. He combines an excellence in style with scholarship and the result is a well-writen, at times poetic, exposition.

The two volumes include 197 photographs and sketches by the author himself, as well as numerous maps and plans. It is the most extensive collection of its kind covering both Russian and Turkish Armenia.

Includes an appendix containing the National Constitution of the Armenians in the Turkish Empire.
