Armenia 1915 - Vierbucher SC

By Heinrich Vierbucher, with an analysis by Vahakn Dadrian

Vierbucher, 1893-1933, was a German pacifist, speaker, and activist who lived and served in wartime Ottoman Turkey. As the interpreter for Marshall Otto Liman von Sanders in Constantinople, he traveled throughout Turkey and was an eyewitness to the Armenian Genocide.

Here he provides, in vivid colors, a strong condemnation of the Turkish government for the premeditated and gruesome slaughter he saw first-hand. At the same time he emphasizes the complicity of the German war government in the massacres and inaction.
