Armenian flag, and Armenian Recipe information: In 1922 the armenian republic joined with the soviet socialist republics of azerbaijan and georgia to form the transcaucasian soviet federated socialist republic (sfsr), which became one of the four original republics of the union of soviet socialist republics (ussr).
