About Armenian Art

Tigran penetrated as far south as ptolemais (modern akko in israel). Sirdes, `my heart'), which was brought from daron, near lake van. He had two objectives: To unify the nation under one part and language and to fight against foreign enemies. After more than two centuries of struggle with the arab caliphate, armenia regained its independence in 886, and both the caliphate and constantinople recognized prince ashot bagratuni as the king of armenia.

It can also be painful to acknowledge that all human beings have the capacity to initiate, or to participate in, persecution.
